Does this Communion Come with COVID?

Two months ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a temporary injunction blocking New York from enforcing capacity limits on religious gatherings to limit the spread of COVID-19. Plaintiffs in the case — two churches — say the executive order violates the 1st amendment. The court also claimed granting injunctive relief to these houses of worship will not harm the public. Is any of this true?

As we prepare for the introduction of bills in AZ attempting to loosen pandemic restrictions for churches, Secular AZ's legal team has analyzed the issue for answers.

Enough is enough! Fight SCR1009!

You may have seen our alert last week urging you to take action on SCR1009 — one of a handful of religious bills introduced this session attempting to control women's bodies. The good news: thanks to your quick action, the bill was not heard last week! The bad news: it's back on the agenda this Wednesday 1/27.

We need more folks to sign up on RTS, email lawmakers, and sign up to speak live in committee at least 24 hours before the hearing. See our action alert for instructions.
