The GOP has been contriving culture wars about sexual predators indoctrinating children and pointing fingers at an Arizona Senate staffer’s racial discrimination lawsuit against the State Democratic Party. But they’ve been radio silent on all of their own scandals.

Not one GOP candidate or elected official has come out publicly against any of their members’ actions-- including those of MCCC School Board candidate Randy Kaufman, who was caught masturbating near a day care center.

Whether they’re touting their “pro-life” stance on unborn fetuses or accusing anyone calling for equity of being a “groomer,” the silence of the Arizona GOP puts their hypocrisy on full display. We are calling on the leaders in the Republican Party of Arizona to speak out about their members’ egregious acts.

Where is your moral compass, conservatives?

Are Jews Still Protected By America’s “Religious Freedom?”

The Secular Humanist Jewish Circle invites you to a talk by Paul Golin, Executive Director of the Society for Humanistic Judaism: Are Jews Still Protected By America’s “Religious Freedom?”

Date: November 6, 2022

Time: 1:30-4:00

Place: Jewish Community Center 3800 East River Road Tucson, AZ

Christian nationalists do not represent all Christians, not even a majority, yet they are currently entrenched on the Supreme Court and in state and local governments. Where does that leave Americans of other or no religions, including American Jewry?

The talk is free and open to the public.  Please bring a snack to share (but no meat, poultry, or shellfish).

Contact: Susan Rubin, SHJC President, 520-577-7718, srubinaz @comcast.net

WATCH: What About the  Propositions?

Propositions 128, 129, and 132 would make it harder to pass laws by initiative, impacting your ability to pass laws legalizing medical aid in dying, abortion, and more.

We sat down with League of Women Voters to discuss these measures and others. Watch here.

Election is Tuesday

This Tuesday is election day. Here are the crucial details on how to vote at this stage:

  • If you still have a mail ballot, it's too late to mail it. Drop it off at a ballot drop box, at your recorder's office, or at any polling place Tuesday. (You can skip the lines.)
  • Early voting sites are now closed. If you don't vote early, go to your polling place Tuesday.
  • Emergency voting centers are open through Nov. 7th if you can't make it on Tuesday. Contact your county recorder's office for details.

Contact us if you have any difficulties and we'll do the best we can to help out.
